They used what they call “Torsional Stability Optimization” which keeps the walls of the shaft from “deforming” while under stress during the swing. That’s a really tough task to not ruin a smooth, gradual-flex shaft profile with that approach.

The branding is reminiscent of ’70s era West Coast surf vibes and the graphics of water, waves, and the ocean. I’ve always appreciated the subtle flair of the Project X EvenFlow shaft graphics. This shaft is designed for a moderate swing tempo and a medium launch with medium spin.
The next-generation Project X EvenFlow Riptide shaft aims to deliver the same “even bend” profile but with improved stability that doesn’t sacrifice EvenFlow’s signature smooth feel.
In fact, various EvenFlow shafts were regularly found in play amongst the Driving Range Heroes team, ranging from hybrids to drivers. Project X won over quite a few fans with their original generation of EvenFlow shafts.
